The statue of "Zhongzheng Ren" was erected on the shore of Zhongzheng Lake in 1969. When the late Chung Cheng High School’s art teacher Yang Huimin led the students to build this statue, he revealed that he hoped to express the concept of "tolerance is great, no desire is rigid" with the statue, and also echoed the spirit of "the middle of the right, the greatest to the most rigid " sung in the first sentence of the Zhongzheng School Song.
The National Art Museum has also opened its exhibition on July 28, 2022 as a permanent memorial to the original collection of “Zhongzheng Ren" in the sculpture works of Teacher Yang Huimin.
The exhibition runs from 29 July to 5 February 2023 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Spine Hall and Ngee Ann Central Hall, Ground Floor Hall, B1, National Gallery of Singapore (1 St Andrew's Rd #01-01S178958). Admission is free, including for non-citizens.
Mr Teo Lian Kiat, the Chairman of The Alumni of Chung Cheng High School, personally attended this exhibition to support the event.

The art of calligraphy and painting is a symbol of Chinese culture. Learning calligraphy and painting requires not only a solid foundation, artistic expression, but also a good artistic accomplishment.
Chung Cheng High School (main) holds the "Zhang Shoushi’s Primary and Secondary School Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" every two years, which reflects our school's emphasis on aesthetic education and efforts to promote traditional Chinese culture.
In addition to promoting and promoting the art of Chinese painting and calligraphy, this activity cultivates students' enthusiasm for painting and calligraphy, and allows primary and secondary school students across the country to observe and learn from each other, improve the level of painting and calligraphy creation, and broaden their horizons.
The theme of this year's calligraphy and painting exhibition is "Brush and Ink with Emotions". There are quite a lot of works in this exhibition, and this special volume is published to encourage them.
In the era of rapid development of science and technology, if we can slow down and cultivate an interest in painting and calligraphy in the spare time of busy study and life, it is undoubtedly a particularly good way of leisure. Then let us calm down together, appreciate the works of our classmates, and enjoy a moment of leisure.
Finally, we would like to thank all participating schools for their active participation. The Chung Cheng Painting and Calligraphy Society helping the preparation and the three judges taking the time to review the work. As a result, the Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting was carried out smoothly and came to a successful conclusion.
